Vier Ströme
„Vier Ströme“ October – November 2023
This new four-part installation from a series of works that Michael Growe has been pursuing for a good 20 years opens up an illusionary space through color, but the painted chassis block an access to three-dimensional reality.
In their dimension, the “Vier Ströme” comprise a “whole-body-vis-a-vis situation for the people approaching them. It was a long path of experimentation. The result is a large colored sculpture that can be dismantled. The term “Strom” has various meanings in the German language, all of which have a common reference to the idea of energy and dynamics: a large river, electricity, current, continuous movement for example.
